Though Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor recently announced their split, we're getting to see the couple during (somewhat) better days together on their new show, The Valley, which was filmed before the separation and is currently airing.

That being said, our minds sometimes drift to happier times for the couple, who were in the Bravoverse long before their time on The Valley as cast members on Vanderpump Rules.

One highlight from that time: Jax and Brittany's engagement, which was filmed for the show. Of course, it came with a jaw-dropping engagement ring... and now we're wondering what's going to happen to the pricey rock post-split.

How big is Brittany Cartwright's engagement ring?

When the couple got engaged in June 2018, they shared a close-up look at the 3.14-carat, cushion-cut, white-diamond engagement ring on Instagram.

The double diamond halo is meant to represent Jax and Brittany.

The ring is reportedly worth $70,000.

Who designed Brittany Cartwright's engagement ring for Jax Taylor?

To create Brittany's dream engagement ring, Jax worked with jewelry designer and friend Kyle Chan, who you may recognize from this season of Vanderpump Rules. "My amazing friend/brother [Kyle] knocked it out of the park on this ring," Jax wrote on Instagram when announcing the engagement in June 2018. "I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond. When I decided to do this he was the only one I wanted to design Brittany’s ring and this is why... flawless, Kyle, absolutely flawless."

It was an equally special process for Kyle, he said.

"Designing Jax and Brittany’s ring was very exciting and emotional to me, because they are close friends of mine that I adore," the jeweler shared with BravoTV.com following the engagement news. "Making their ring was also a bit scary, because you absolutely want to make the perfect ring for people you care about... This ring was specially designed with Brittany in mind. [Jax and Brittany] had an idea of what type of style and diamond they were looking for: micro pave setting around a larger center stone."

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's wedding rings

Brittany and Jax said "I do" in a June 2019 ceremony at a Kentucky castle, and the wedding was filmed for Vanderpump Rules. The marriage came with some gorgeous bling, which was once again designed by Kyle Chan.

For Brittany, Kyle designed two delicate diamond-encrusted wedding bands: one to surround each side of Brittany's engagement ring.

For Jax, Kyle created a thicker silver band with diamonds all throughout the center.

The couple announced they were taking some time apart in February, just weeks before The Valley premiered.

Brittany told Page Six that part of the reason for the split was because she didn’t feel valued in the relationship, which was also depicted on The Valley during Season 1 Episode 5.

“We’ve been together nine years, and people stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time, and that should never happen in a marriage,” she explained to Page Six. “So, that’s what I’m trying to get back, and if it doesn’t come back, we won’t get back together.”

Brittany gave a more recent update on the status of her relationship on an April 2 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She said she was hopeful the couple would go to marriage counseling, but so far Jax has resisted the idea.

"Everything is kind of up in the air right now," Brittany said on WWHL. "I feel like I'm really strong right now, I feel like I've grown a lot in the past couple years, especially after having Cruz, I've gotten so much stronger and I feel like I deserve better."
